epiphanicity

hmmmmm?

When you are on fire, rational thought goes out the door. You tend to not make rational decisions. That is why we have such simple directions drilled into our heads like "stop, drop, and roll"....easy, simple, even a child can understand, memorize and implement such guidelines for such circumstances. That way, in the unlikely and unfortunate event that we are on fire, we still have a chance at saving yourself. (regardless of the absence of common sense)
When you are on fire we tend to make choices that don't make sense. People do radical things they NEVER would do under different circumstances...jump out of buildings, run, spin in circles, jump up and down (as if jumping and screaming helped?!) They do things a spectator looks at and thinks...I would NEVER do that, it makes no sense...welcome to my current world. I am super fired up right now...I have several programs going nuclear in my brain. things that are unbelieveably outstandingly, dangerously awesome. Ideas I am undeniable and irrevocably convinced will work...not because of my superbly stupendous administrative skills (HA!) But because God has done greater things already, and under even tougher circumstances with people who had far less means at their disposal than I do...I can hardly sit still long enough to type this. I am physically excited, I can't sit still, my breathing is shallow and almost erratic. I am nearly euphoric.
"The Norm," one such idea as I am calling it, (mascoted by George Wendt) is based on the belief that incredible movements of God have a few, simple, common ingredients. Willingess and obedience being the foremost. Look at His track record. Most of the people he worked with were not really remarkable people, in fact most were unremarkable...several were even successes in spite of themselves. Yet life changing, world changing, history making things happened because they listened, and obeyed. Nothing has changed. I think every one of us, without exception, has the potential with in us for spiritually dramatic things to occur. We just have to be willing, listen and go. Are you willing? It may cost money, time, reputation...but are you willing? You will have NO CONTROL other than to bail out when it becomes too scary or wild a ride...are you in? What would it take for you to become a world changer?
Gotta go now...Most every one I talk to about my ideas (there are more) says I am not being logical or practical...that the obstacles have to be paid attention too...it probably won't work...small attempts have been made without success. (to which I replied...why dip our toes in the water when we could go for a full fledged swim?) ...they are right...I am not thinking logically right now...I am on fire...what do they expect? A good question perhaps for you as well, "What do YOU expect?"
